We had the pleasure of working with the energy app, Lucid, on creating a brand film that succinctly explained its mission and offering to customers.

Lucid were unsure about how to walk the line between the big problems such as the energy crisis and climate change, whilst retaining an approachable brand that customers would trust and engage with.

Our core idea revolved around Lucid being the heartbeat of the home, which we felt evoked a strong emotional connection with their service. With energy prices soaring and the desire to increase climate change awareness, Lucid helps you understand exactly what is happening inside your home.

We created multiple style frames for this animation. We began by focusing on a visual style that complimented the Lucid house character, taken from their logo. We also had to decide upon the right colour palette, that fit within their brand and the story. We settled on a muted palette to allow the Lucid brand green to pop and to create more contrast optimised smaller screens.

Through much collaboration we arrived at the perfect tone for this video, visually and narratively.
