AWS asked us to produce a video about their client Transport For London. The brief was to create an informative mini documentary hosted by TFL Head of Open Innovation Rikesh Shah, showcasing how they have utilised AWS to share critical data.

As part of the brief, we had to film on location in Central London and at various London Underground sites. This posed some obvious challenges as we would be filming amongst the general public and with a VIP who had limited time. It was critical to be thoroughly prepared as we only had a short window of time to execute the filming.

Collaborating with the AWS and TFL teams made for a very smooth filming process, which took place on one day over a couple hours. The nature of the production meant that we needed to be nimble in order to navigate the London streets and Underground. We decided to use a 3 person crew consisting of a Producer/Director, Camera Operator and Camera Assistant combined with a gimbal stabiliser and natural lighting to achieve this.

In post-production we also integrated in-situ graphics to highlight the key messages and statistics. The production was a great success and has led to many more collaborations with the AWS team.
