Landsec got in touch and asked us to produce an end of year results video for shareholders, with a twist. They wanted something more inspiring than a typical results video, which often include too many stuffy facts and figures, that can be lost on the audience.

We wanted to capture the essence of the company, highlighting achievements both financial and social, and connecting with the audience powerfully – in under 60 seconds. To achieve this we put forward the concept ‘Our Story’ as a totally new, narrative approach to an end of year results video.

The idea was to have a conversational script, talking directly to the audience. To present the results as an engaging story reinforced by striking imagery that showcased Landsec developments; retail and residential spaces.

We worked closely with the team at Landsec to write the script and began filming at various flagship properties around London. We cast actors and set scenes on location to demonstrate the vibrancy of the assets, such as the bustling leisure and retail spaces at Nova, One New Change, the iconic Piccadilly Lights and more.

We utilised aerial drone filming to capture the scale and grandeur of the properties, offering an exciting perspective and presenting the buildings in all their glory.

In post-production we employed dynamic kinetic typography to communicate the script in a fun and engaging way. This was a creative and practical choice as it enables the video to be equally effective with or without audio.

The final video was central to the results reporting and was highly regarded by shareholders.
