We were thrilled to work with Pony Recordings and Tempesst to produce the video for their single Prisoner of Desire, the brooding title track off their second album.

The emotive songwriting and conversational style of the lyrics explore losing yourself in a relationship. The lyric “Cause every Mona Lisa needs a velvet rope,” was the catalyst for the entire creative concept of the video. We ran with this theme, reimagining it for the crescendo of the video; where the band stand within a life-like ‘painting’ mounted on a wall, safely behind said velvet rope.

Shot in Alva East Studios on 16mm film, our team worked tirelessly into the night, on a cold winter’s day to capture this beautiful footage. However, we weren’t without challenges as we had to build and light multiple sets (all shot in the same studio) including an entire jail cell, complete with toilet!

The hard work paid off and we were all so pleased watching through the rushes, which were expertly processed by the team at Kodak London at Pinewood Studios.

We love collaborating with musicians and record labels and this project was a team highlight in so many ways!
