Mondelēz International, a global leader in the food industry, needed a creative solution for their upcoming recruitment campaign that aimed to shine a spotlight the talented people working in their supply chain. They wanted to showcase the faces and stories behind each function, to not only attract new talent but also humanise the intricate processes involved in bringing their products to life.

In response, we pitched the concept ‘A Link in the (Supply) Chain’ inspired by the journey of an Oreo cookie from conception to the hands of the consumer. The narrative covered various stages from marketing, procurement, manufacturing, engineering, logistics, health and safety, sales, to ultimately the consumer. The intention was to provide a holistic view of the supply chain, emphasising the people who make it all happen.

We crafted a first draft of the script that captured the essence of the Oreo story arc and the people involved at every stage. Collaborating closely with the Mondelēz International team, we refined the narrative to ensure it aligned with their goals. Our team then got to work storyboarding, casting the actors and sourcing the locations amongst a host of other pre-production logistics.

The filming was a large-scale effort, involving shooting in three countries across five days and spanning nine locations. Shot on a cinema package including Arri Alexa Mini, Freefly Wave (for super-slow motion sequences) with an array of lighting and grip, our in-house crew executed the vision of the project.

From editing and grading to sound design and audio mixing, every detail was carefully considered in post-production. To add a visually appealing and cohesive element to the campaign, we incorporated hand-drawn animations for the transitions and key text messaging. This artistic choice also echoed the human touch inherent in the Mondelēz International Supply Chain.

We worked with music composers SFJ to produce an upbeat, soul-infused track that seamlessly complemented the campaign’s vibrant and positive tone.

Our collaboration with the team at Mondelēz International was an example of shared vision and dedication. The end result was an exciting film that captures the essence and complexity of the supply chain and has been the spear head of recent Mondelēz International recruitment campaign!
